Rates & Fees

The Retreat at Thunder Ridge, and your hosts Laura & Lew Webb, strive to provide a high quality experience by offering a “First Class” facility, in a beautiful mountain setting, and by pampering their guests with great food, service, and top notch accommodations. We specialize in a “Full Service Plan”, but also offer an “Accommodations Only” option for our more budget conscious groups. In addition, we have “Day Use” and “Evening Use” options.

Full Service Plan - $150 per guest/per night
*Minimum contract amount is $1,800 (12-Guests)

The “Full Service Plan” includes three hearty and flavorful meals per day (including bussing & dishwashing) along with coffee service beginning at 6:30 AM for early risers. Drinks and snacks are provided throughout the day, and fantastic desserts are included with both lunch and dinner. We take our motto, “Nobody Leaves Thunder Ridge Hungry”, very seriously!!! The staff will handle all the linens, towels, and room servicing upon your departure, so all you need to do is enjoy your beautiful room and comfortable bed, then, when it’s time to head back down the hill, just pack and go! We highly recommend that you check with our references!!!

Accommodations Only Plan - $90 per person/per night
*Minimum contract amount is $1080 (12-Guests)

By opting for this plan, our guests will enjoy the same beautiful accommodations and facility as those choosing the Full Service Plan. These guest groups, however, will be providing for their own food and beverage service, making sure the kitchen is cleaned prior to departure.

Day Use Only - 8 AM to 5 PM
$350 for up to 20 guests
$10 per guest additional over 20, up to 40 guests

This option allows for use of the entire facility (with the exception of bedrooms and kitchen) and includes snacks, water, coffee, ice tea and lemonade. The kitchen is available for use with a $50 surcharge, and must be left clean. Thunder Ridge will also provide breakfast and/or lunch if desired. We have a light breakfast option for $10, or a full breakfast is available for $15. For lunch we have three options available. A light lunch is $10, with a mouth watering hot lunch at $17.50. We also offer our “First Class” lunch option for $25. All breakfast/lunch prices are per guest. Please check with us for menu descriptions.

Evening Use Only - 3:30 PM to 11:30 PM
$500 for up to 20 guests
$15 per guest additional over 20, up to 40 guests

Just as for “Day Use”, the “Evening Use” option allows for use of the entire facility (with the exception of bedrooms and kitchen) and includes snacks, water, coffee, ice tea and lemonade. The kitchen is available for use with a $100 surcharge, and must be left clean. Thunder Ridge has dinner service available as well. There are two options, with one at $17.50 and the other at $30. Again, these prices are per guest, and we invite you to check with us about menu options.

Other Activities and Entertainment

As some groups like to do their programming during the morning, and have activities available after lunch, we are more than willing to work with your group’s organizer to develop a schedule for offsite options, such as rafting, horseback riding, fishing, 4x4 tours, skiing, golf, etc, etc. Durango has a great many diverse and exciting possibilities, so feel free to enquire about a plan to custom fit your group!

In addition, depending upon the time of year, group size, and the weather, we can offer a special lunch or dinner option at a spectacular secluded “campsite” we’ve created in our woods. It requires a short uphill hike from the lodge to get there. In some cases, if there is a person or two in your group for which that would be too difficult, we can ferry them to the location on a 4-wheeler.
Some of our groups might like to have outside entertainment brought to the lodge, such as a variety of different types of live music, or “Cowboy Poetry” readings, etc. Again, we’ll work with your organizer to accommodate the group’s specific needs and desires.
If you have an idea for something special or unusual, let’s talk about it, because we LOVE to create custom experiences for our guests!!!

Fees and expectations for any of the above will be addressed with your group’s organizer well in advance of your arrival, and will be specifically addressed in your group’s contract. We know that the best way to ruin a special experience is to be surprised with unexpected additional charges, so we’ll make certain extras (if any) are accounted for prior to your arrival.

Arrival & Departure Times

All prices reflect a 24-hour period (with the exception of Day or Night Use Only) so depending upon your particular group’s needs, we can adjust these times to fit your schedule.

For example, some groups like to arrive in the evening before dinner, then have breakfast and lunch the following day before departing in the afternoon. Others like to arrive for lunch, then enjoy dinner that evening, and depart after breakfast the following day. So again, we’ll work with you to accommodate the specific needs of your group.

Deposits & Cancellations

To confirm your group’s dates, we require a 1/3 deposit to be made within 7-days of booking, and then an additional 1/3 no later than 1-month prior to your scheduled arrival date. A personal, business or cashiers check is fine for both of these deposits. The balance due will be required at the time of your arrival, and this payment will need to be a cashiers check or money order. All payments are to be made with a SINGLE check!

FOR ANY TRANSACTIONS AT THIS TIME.

Cancellations prior to 90-days from your scheduled arrival date will receive a full refund. Cancellations made between 45 and 90-days prior to your scheduled arrival date will receive a 40% refund of the deposit on file. Any cancellation made closer than 45-days to your scheduled arrival date will unfortunately forfeit 100% of the deposit on file. All cancellations must be made in writing. E-mail is acceptable, but we must send you a confirmation e-mail to acknowledge receipt of your cancellation.
